This is my first clep examination, and I feel lost. I am trying to study for human growth and development but I'm not sure where to start. I've purchased the REA clep book, but its not doing me any good. I'm wondering if its truly possible to pass by just studying the questions and answers alone, (without reading an entire review book).
Please write back, any replies would be mostly appreciated!
BTW- If you have passed the exam, how did you study?

I took the DSST for Lifespan Developmental Psychology because I heard it was easier, but not every school is as accepting of DSSTs as CLEPs. I used the Human Growth & Development flashcards to study for the DSST. I passed, but I wouldn't exactly recommend the Instantcert flashcards for the DSST. Obviously, they were made for the CLEP, but I just thought there would be a lot more similarities. If you're going to take the CLEP, I would definitely recommend including the flashcards in your studies.

I took Intro to Psych, using just IC flashcards, before I took Human Growth and Development. Then I used the REA book for HG&D, which worked really well for me. I think the most helpful part was the Psych background. I scored 72 on Psychology and 62 on HG&D. So if you need to take Psych, maybe think about taking that test first. And if you don't need to, try reviewing some of the Intro to Psychology info first.
Hope that helps!

I read the REA, did the IC flashcards, and went over the Official CLEP Study Guide (2013) at the library right before the test. On my exam a few of the q's from IC and the Study Guide were on my exam so that was exciting

but all I did was read over REA with a focus on the practice tests, go over the flashcards, and read the qs and answers in the study guide.

How did it go? Did you pass? Did you feel like the flashcards were helpful? I am getting ready to take the same test in Human Growth and Development. I just wanted feedback on the difficulty of the exam.
Thanks!
