How long did it take you to complete? I accidently took the mirco without lab class and then had to start over with the with lab class. I already spoke with SL 2 times and they were unable to let me use the exams and final I took already with the non lab class. I am supposed to start nursing school in 3 weeks and I have 3 lab classes to finish first. This and A&P I/II. I have just started the first lab and it seems like this is gonna take me too long for my start date. I already put it off my October start date and had to enroll again for January. If I complete these I will have finished all 47 non core nursing credits and save a ton of money. Any tips or advice is welcomed. :-)

I am about to do the Microbiology course but without the lab. My plan/hope is to be able to complete it this coming week. If I can give you any info from my experience that will help you I will be glad to assist.

Someone on the forum said SL offers standalone lab courses. SL would not let you just sign up for the lab only? I found it, here's the link

You could then add the course already taken to your ACE transcript followed by the lab, once completed??
If this is not the case, please inform so other forum members are not receiving incorrect information. Thanks and hope this works out for you!

There used to only be standalone labs for biology, chemistry, and A&P I and II. This was the case when the OP signed up for microbiology without lab. However, I now see that microbiology and physics I labs are listed as standalone. These must have just been added recently. The combined lecture and lab courses aren't even showing up, so the OP must have signed up for it before it was discontinued. Can you still get a refund?

Quote:This lab-only course is designed as a standalone addition to StraighterLine’s Microbiology course. Students will complete at-home laboratory experiments, track and record results, answer lab-based questions reflected in graded lab reports, and complete lab-based assessments to meet the lab requirement. The labs are provided by eScience Labs, a leading provider of at-home lab kits and online lab instructional materials and resources.
The microbiology standalone lab just received ACE approval on 10/01/2014.

I remember when the OP first posted about signing up for the wrong course and having to retake the lecture portion just to get the lab portion. The OP already knows how the lecture portion is going to go because he or she already completed it. The unknown part is the complicated and extensive lab portion.

When my son signed up for SL Biology a few years back, he signed up for the non lab. After giving it some thought, we wanted him to take the lab, so I called to change the class. All they did was add the lab class, the theory portion had nothing to do with the lab. I see SL lists micro that way, can you just take the lab?
