I refuse to give EC $350 or more for this class if I can avoid it and Penn Foster just strikes me as unprofessional and unaccredited. I would really feel better if someone could chime in here and let me know that they have taken the LSU course and that EC accepted it. Thank you

I haven't noticed many forum members mentioning this one. I would like to know if others have taken it, too. I do know a forum member who enrolled at EC in 2010, took this class at LSU in early 2011, and graduated later in 2011. He called the course "library research" and the cost was about $100 for 1 credit.

For the record, this is part of the email I received from my EC adviser regarding the Information Literacy requirement:
".... the LIS*1001 course from LSU is approved to meet the Information Literacy requirement."
So, that answers that. This course costs about $150, is self paced and regionally accredited.
Hope this helps anyone else who was curious.
