Has Anyone Passed Any Of These Upper Level Tests??
#1
I'm planning on taking the following exams and wanted to know if anyone has ever passed them and what material was used if you did:

Organizational Behavior
Environment and Humanity: The Race to Save the Planet
Management Information Systems
Human Resource Management

Much appreciative.

Hi JBL,

DANTES Organizational Behavior, Environment and Humanity, and Human Resource Management are all LOWER LEVEL credits.

Only Management Information Systems is UPPER LEVEL out of your list. Exclesior offers UL versions of the Org Behavior, and HRM exams though.

I took MIS earlier this month. I used Instantcert mainly and looked up key terms on the web. I scored a 72.

I should note that I had already passed Intro to Computing and Information Systems & Computer Applications. While MIS is certainly more advanced than either of those two lower level exams, the knowledge I gained studying for them became the foundation for my study of MIS.

Here is a segment of what I wrote on the forum at degreeinfo.com on the day I took the exam.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Here's The Scoop: (for MY version of the exam only)
----------------------

- Know about the SDLC, JAD, RAD, EUC, PROTOTYPING etc.
- Know about the various System levels (individual, work group, enterprise, interorganizational).
- Know about BPR.
- Know what a multiplexor is.
- Know what fiber optic/optical cable is.
- Know about ESS, DSS, MIS, KWS, TPS.
- Know who are considered to be KNOWLEDGE WORKERS.
- Know what an expert system is.
- Know a little bit about John von Neumann.
- Know how many bits in a byte, how many bytes in a kb, etc.
- Know the various kinds of database (relational, hierarchical etc.)
- Know what items in an office would be considered characteristic of Office Automation and what wouldn't.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you find this info helpful.

Best of luck,

Snazz,

I read your post from the degreeinfo.com, and you mentioned a question you remembered about what kind of data a social security number is. I got this exact question on my exam too! I answered it's text, by the wya. You also mentioned here John von Neumann, and there was a question about this one too.

Anyway, it seems we got the same version. I can at least attribute getting 2 questions correct to you!

I passed Environment and Humanity and Human Resource Management. I used both this site and the Pass Your Class Study Guide and flash cards.

Org Behavior is an upper level psych course at TESC. I found the test easy as cake. To study I only read through the IC cards a couple of times for about three hours of total study time. Environment and Humanity, as stated by an earlier poster, is not an upper level course. That test is also pretty easy. If you are not an IC member sign up NOW and check the exam specific feedback. SNYDERM has a study guide posted that is awesome, the IC cards were really good too. I probably had about four hours of study time in that one. My scores on those tests were pretty good check my signature below.

BA/Liberal Studies, TESC 2011
AAS/Applied Electronic Studies, TESC 2010
