Biology clep question
#1
I have been studying for the biology clep w/ flash card exchange, standard deviant dvd, biology demystified book, links from this site and other notes. I took two petersons test and scored only about 40% on each. I know that the petersons are generally a little tougher but the questions had some content that did not appear to have been covered or had more detail than is covered by my study resources. I was planning on taking the test next week but I am getting a little apprehensive. I know there is a lot of info but should I just go for it? Any advice?

40% is a bit low for me to be comfortable. I'd continue to study and continue to take those practice tests until you're getting above 55% at the very least. That's still pushing it, even for the Biology CLEP. I really disliked that exam.

Hey I just took it today and passed with 56. I got in the 40-45 percent range on the Peterson's tests and I got 55-68 percent range on the the REA ones. So please dont let the Peterson's discourage you too much. All the study materials that you mentioned are good ones so Im sure you will do fine. Good luck!

I think it is too soon for you to take the clep yet. I was making in the sixties and seventies on the Peterson tests and failed the clep by one point. I would recommend trying some other resources and studying for another couple of weeks. Sure wish I had. My six months will be up on November 3rd and I am planning on retaking then. I have been studying on and off for this exam ever since my first exam almost four months ago.

I would reccomend taking the REA practice exams. if you still score below 60%, I would keep studying for at least another week.
