Hello -
I am moving along with my BS-IT degree at Excelsior. I have completed CLEP/DANTES to finish up the Arts and Sciences section, so all that is lift is the Information Technology Component.
I am hoping to test through as much as I possibly can. According to my evaluation I need a total of 36.00 credits in IT to include all of the following core requirements:
-Computer Architecture
-Database Concepts
-Data Communications and Networking
-Operating Systems
-Overview of Computer Security
-Project Management
I can do ICCP exams for Data Communication, Database Concepts, Project Management, and Computer Security. However, I get the impression that those exams are tough and hard to prep for.
I wouldn't mind taking online courses but I the Excelsior courses take SO LONG that they drive me crazy. It's also hard for me to find a proctor around here but that can be overcome.
Does anyone have ANY feedback about ways to get these credits complete?? If there is an online course that will let me go at my own pace instead of spending 16 weeks per course, that would be great!! Any advice appreciated, thank you!!
