It's interesting. I think GMT is just making conversation, and pointing out inconsistencies, and not really overly concerned. On the whole, we seem like a group who, like smf6824 and rebel100 point out, figure ebola shouldn't be keeping us up nights. Frankly, more concerning are the crazy drivers in my area. I'm still winding down from the woman who tried to disproved Newton's theory about two objects not being able to occupy the same place at the same time. Or, she was playing chicken, but forgot to tell me.
We cover the political spectrum here. Do you think it's our shared interest in the acquistion of knowledge that makes us less susceptible to this sort of hysteria? I was going to blame the fear on the 24-hour news cycle, but I suspect that, unless we're hunkered down for a test, most of us keep abreast of the news. Are there forum members who are truly scared of ebola. (Okay, there's a little me that is saying, "please, Please, PLEASE don't let this posting be pointed to in a year when half the world is dead as an example of needless/heedless confidence." That's more 'cause I don't want to appear stupid than because I'm afrain I might die.)
