Grad School
#1
I am stopping in to say I will begin a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy program in less than a month. My journey toward this goal began in June of 2011 with a few CLEP's. After earning a TESC BA in June of 2012 I realized I wouldn't be able to get into an MSOT program without a competitive GPA, so I redoubled my efforts and earned a BS as Excelsior last December. I took the GRE last January, 17 credits of prerequisites at community college last spring that couldn't be CBE, and started the application process. I got into one program last term but I decided to defer my acceptance and apply to a California State University in order to save $$$. With 66 slots for 500 applicants, the CSU admissions process was fairly competitive. I got word in mid-November I was admitted to the January start cohort.

I post this to thank all those here on the forum who give generously of their time in order that the latest generation of credit by exam students might succeed in whatever endeavor they seek to accomplish. I also post to encourage those who are just starting out on the CBE journey to let you know that if you begin with the end in mind, you will reach your goal with fewer steps.

I continue to advise many degree seekers to visit the forum and pursue their degrees utilizing CBE. If I can ever be of use to anyone here, please contact me. Best to you all in this season of giving freely so that all may be free to give.
