I Reside in texas and will use my bachelor degree from TESU to gain employment as teacher . The alternate teacher certification requires that i have a 2.0 GPA in order to qualify for the Texas alternate teaching certification. My question is how do i gain a GPA if i will be taking most classes through straighter line and Aleks?

Take at least one class at TESU (or another school; like a cheaper community college) and you'll have a GPA. If you're enrolling in TESU after May 25th, you'll be required to take a 1 credit cornerstone course, and that alone is enough to give you a GPA. Also, if you're not going for a BSBA but a degree in a social science/liberal arts field, you'll have to take the Liberal Arts capstone, which can't be tested out of and will also give you a GPA.

Community Colleges in your state should be the cheapest and easiest option for GPA. I would take one that will transfer to TESU, and is not a duplicate of ALEKS or Straighterline course. Firstly, don't look at GPA at its minimum, as when I skimmed through a few of the schools offering 1 year teacher programs, they require a 2.5 minimum GPA.

Looks like OP's asking for a teacher certification, not for TESU specifically.
