Sorry I didn't mean wasted but they take a significant amount of the 36 month benefit (I believe a month) for every clep test (I can get a housing allowance for a month instead).
My Japanese is decent... I should be studying more but I work so often these days. There are quite a few American companies that are hiring overseas so that is what I am aiming for.

LOL, I know where you're going with this! I can read your mind! As that's just what I was thinking too!
As iamtehking is taking a BALS, the cheapest/fastest way to get a huge amount of credits is through ACTFL.
Up to 30 credits with CLEP/DSST/ACTFL in Japanese or another language if you know it well enough.
6 credits CLEP/DSST, 24 credits ACTFL - Go for it dude for under $250, that's amazing cheap!

After reviewing some spreadsheets it seems SL/Study are my best options (fastest).
Are there recommended courses to take for each subject or is it more of a situation where you take what is required? I'd love to see some ones completed spreadsheet for a BALS if possible.

Thank you for the reply Ideas
I have been going off this but wanted to ask, what course of action do you see working best for you? Is it Saylor and Study.com? Does the SL limit really slow you down? Looking for speed and while I don't have "money to blow" I am getting assistance from the GI Bill and saving to pay for classes while being re-reimbursed if possible.

I have not CollegeLady...honestly I am a bit intimidated by having one shot to take the tests. In your opinion these are the best options?

I do them all I've done study.com, SL, Clep and I'm sure I'll do some dsst's only started back up with school little over a month ago. Check out modern states they will actually pay for you to take some of the clep tests

How effective is Study.com and SL? I understand you are limited to the amount of courses you can take. Using all of them eliminates the limitations though...
Do you have a set time to study for CLEPS? Do you have an average amount of time you take for tests? Thank you for the feedback!

Honestly I'm sure those things will vary depending on the person. probably should just try these out for yourself especially since you can do some of them for free. the clep thru modern states and apply for the guardian scholarship thru study.com also do the Teex courses those are free credits as well.
