Peculiar SL emails.
#1
Is anyone else getting "Did you forget something?" emails from SL encouraging you to finalize checkout for random courses? I've received three of these in as many days, each with an additional random course added. I've not added any of these courses to my cart, and when I log in, it's empty.

I've also started receiving "Way to Go!" emails from SL at least once a day (as many as twice per day) for the last week. They each say the same thing: "Way to Go! You just passed your first exam and are on your way to earning credit toward your college degree." I've been using SL since Jan and never saw one of these emails until a week ago.

I get the "Way to Go' emails every single day but have only gotten the "Did you forget something" emails when I have something in my cart.

This stuff is all automated. You can just contact straighterline and have them remove your name from course contact list. It's much easier to program a system to send blanket emails to all registered students and remove names as requested.

Clearly the "Way to go!" emails are automated and perhaps I should have left that part out since my actual concern was about the random courses listed as being in my cart, only to find my cart empty when logging in. I simply thought the sudden "Way to go!" emails were odd five months into my subscription.

My initial concerns about the "cart" business was that maybe my login for SL had been compromised, or that these were some sort of phishing attempt (to get what I don't know). I figured if it was some sort of glitch at SL others here might be getting them too, so I was curious. I've since changed my SL password just in case (though I can't see what anyone would have to gain by logging in as me, other than maybe a low B average in some gen eds Smile).
