After adding a bunch of links to DF Wiki last night, I was thinking that maybe we should expand the Wiki a bit. It's mostly geared towards the Big 3, as is this forum and I think it should remain so, but that leaves some students out. I was thinking mostly of those who attended DETC accredited schools and are looking to transfer to a regionally accredited school without losing most of their credits. Any ideas? I think WGU and Empire State College could be added. We could add ACT and the other teacher classes as possible options, with a note that these haven't been tested yet. Perhaps later a page for masters degree programs since those are talked about occasionally.
What do you all think about this? Any more suggestions?

A master's section would be too broad to cover unless we focused on one area such as cost for out-of-state students. A section for where DETC students could transfer their credits would be nice. I'm all about keeping things concise and simple as to not overwhelm newcomers and to keep the wiki easy to navigate.

You're probably right. I've added a new page to the Wiki which is also linked onto the Main Page:
Other Schools - Degree Forum Wiki
If you think of any other schools that should be added to this list, or believe something should be changed on the list, let me know.

Well, we have to wait and see if Ashford University will keep its accreditation. LOL. They are having issues right now. I was thinking about adding information about Empire State College accepting GRE subject exams for credit if that's not already in there. I think there should be two separate pages for other flexible schools and schools that will accept NA credits. University of Phoenix and Liberty University accept NA credits, but I wouldn't put them in the flexible school list. I'll make these additions later when I have time if you haven't already done so.

Yikes. I had forgotten about this. I added a note with a link to a news story about this under Ashford.

I added it for you. Feel free to edit what I posted.

Please edit the page to make it better. Instead of two separate pages you could divide them with different subject headings.

I've started a page at DF Wiki for graduate programs. This one will be slowly evolving, but if you have anything good to add to it by all means please do!

IrishJohn:
Is there is forum link to the DF Wiki? I tried looking for one last night and ended up googling it. Of course, now that I see your signature line, I suppose I could just look for one of your forum posts!
Edit: (need... more... coffee...) Okay, I found the sticky under the Excelsior, Thomas Edison and Charter Oak category, so I bookmarked the site. Still, a direct link from the top menu bar would be cool...

I'm sorry sweetheart, but I have a scathing critique of your graduate studies page. :p Which direction are you going with this? What kind of schools are you listing? The tuition rate is wrong for the American Public University System. Tuition is usually $975 per course, not credit. Also, I believe APUS accepts bachelor's degrees from DETC schools for acceptance into its graduate programs. I'll make corrections later if they already haven't been made.

Mostly just providing a list of schools folks might not be aware of that people talk about a lot on this board and others. I'm going to add Morningside and the other teacher schools with the ACT/VESI options later. I'll probably add Harvard Extension School too. People should feel free to add whatever school they like that they think others might be interested in.

Oops! Good catch. Just corrected that. Thanks!

I couldn't find anything on their site about that which is why I didn't add it in. If you find info on that, by all means put it in!
