There's a chain called America's Best that gives you 2 pair of standard glasses and the exam for less than $90.... However, those are base model glasses....no poly-carbonate lenses or any of the other fancy bells and whistles...it's a good deal for people who don't need thick glasses. Unfortunately for me, I have to pay a lot...my glasses are strong enough to see into the future...

When I got my exam this last week, I got a decent pair of glasses with poly-carbonate lenses, and a nice pair of sunglasses. Cost me around $200, including the exam.

Ugh. I have to pay extra for special lenses since my prescription is so strong, otherwise, my lenses wouldn't fit right in metal frames. I was afraid that I was going to be legally blind at the rate my vision was worsening, but the worsening slowed down when I stopped growing as the doctor predicted.
