Can General Psychology (Psychology 101 from a 4 year state university) fulfill any other general education requirement other than Knowledge of Human Cultures or free elective for a TESU Business Degree? Could the course count as an elective in the professional requirements or do these 6 electives have to be upper level courses? Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure which 6 Electives you're talking about - are you asking about the Free Electives at the bottom of the page? If so, these are not Business Electives (no longer any such thing), they are any courses that don't fit into Gen Ed's. You would much rather Psych 101 go into your Knowledge of HC than Free Electives.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I was referring to the 6 credits at the bottom of the credit distribution list labeled "IV. Credits." The reason I was looking for another spot to place the Psych course is because I am currently taking Shmoop courses for one month and have taken the 3 History courses that they offer. I believe they will fulfill the Knowledge of Human Cultures section, so I guess I will use the Psych course or one of the History courses for a General Education elective. Do you know what type of courses fulfill the 6 electives at the bottom of the credit distribution list? I have a little over a week left in the Shmoop membership and wanted fulfill take a course that will fit into something other than electives, not sure that is going to be possible. I was hoping that one of their courses would fulfill the Information Literacy requirement but I don't think any will.
Thanks again for the help.

Hopefully this will bring clarity to how the courses are categorized. It's actually one of my favorite posts by forum member Cookderosa.

Some things have changed over the years...but what seems to be consistent lately is any credit from a community college transfers as lower level. If a course transfers from a 4yr college (or one of the various alternatives*) they tend to match up course descriptions. *penn foster, straighterline, study.com, etc. "Setting a goal is not the main thing. None of the Shmoop courses fulfill Info Lit.
The math courses will work, and will fulfill the Quant Lit requirement. But we don't know how they will come in; for instance, Finite Math will probably come in as MAT-110. Algebra I & II can be taken (have to both be taken) but we don't know if they'll come in as Intermediate or College Algebra. Geometry is unknown, but certainly can't hurt to take. Precalc is also unknown but will come in somewhere. The Lit courses will come in as KoHC, then GE Electives, then Free Electives. If you're already signed up for Shmoop though, it certainly behooves you to take as many courses as you can, even if they go into Gen Ed Electives and Free Electives.
