I am with Empire State College and I was told tha i still have to fill a gen. ed. requirement for 'other world civilization'.
 I already took U. S. history and Western Civilization but they say I need another one from world civilization. ::
Modern middle east meets that requirement but i read the reviews and they are terrible, they all recomend not taking it. my mentor said something about Vietnam but I don't see any vietnam exam.
Does anyone have any suggesstions?
Thank you
Dini

I’m assuming you need another 3 credits from Social Science/History – (other civilization).
What about the following exams:
Western Civilization II
American Government
Human/Cultural Geography
Human Growth and Development
Into. to Sociology or Psychology
or see if you can get 'Here’s to your health' approved it’s pretty easy and so is Sociology. I hope this helps.
Passed CLEP & DSST, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Principles of Supervision, Human Resource Management, Here's To Your Health, Civil War & Reconstruction, Drugs & Alcohol Abuse, Introduction To Psychology, Introduction To Sociology, Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union, Criminal Justice, Into to Law Enforcement, Astronomy, Environment and Humanity, Technical Writing, Foundations of Education, Western Europe Since 1945, DSST Organization Behavior, ECE Ethics: Theory & Practice, Intro to Business, ECE Abnormal Psychology, ECE World Population, ECE Psychology of Adulthood and Aging, Fundamentals of Counseling

Thank you guys, I think though that they want specifically another world civilization like Vietnam or Middle East (which I do not want to take) i took western civ. and American history.

Hi dini,
I took both the History of the Vietnam War and Introduction to the Modern Middle East exams. They are available as DANTES exams and, whilst definitely not easy, they ARE passable with adequate study.
Let me know if you do decide to take either of these exams. I will gladly shoot my study notes your way.
Best of luck,
Snazzlefrag
My name is Rob

Thank You, I think those two are my only choice. (The Suny requirement is that it has to be another world civ. nothing related to western civilization.)
I would appreciate it if you can send me some of your notes, it sure would be a help.
Thanks again for your response,
and why again do you say it is not easy, is it because I cannot rely just on instantcert?
Thank You
