The big upgrade seems to be mostly in its ability to write code, as they say it's now on par with Claude AI.

Users are sad to learn that the option to use 4o is being removed, as this model had a uniquely human feel. I’ll admit that I could really vibe with 4o as it had a distinct flair and sense of humor that the others just don’t.

Are there going to be freebie versions of this offered? Why can't they let the older version be full-fledged and free for those who want to use it? I mean, they're going to be letting a good resource go to waste.

I hear the new GPT-5 thinking model only allows 200 requests, then you’re screwed and have to wait a week before making another one. The GPT-4 thinking models would never block you from requests for more than a few hours once you hit the limits.

This new update really messed up a lot of people’s workflows.
