Freebie for the folks in Alabama

Hey everyone,

Here's one for the folks in Alabama,

Free CPT (certified production technician) CLA (certified logistic associate) and CLT (certified logistic technician) available at Lawson State Community College. I'm pretty confident other CC's in the state offer it but you'll have to check. For each of the certs you have to show up on campus to sign up and to take test. The associated course is online. Once you successfully complete the cert you receive a stipend of $150 per cert. If you want to do the logistics AAS these courses will role into it.

Alabama ready to work certificate
This one is offered at all Alabama CCs. Depending on the CC it is offered online or in person. I'm doing an online version at Lawson state. After completing you receive a stipend of $175 and a credit for one free course of your choosing.

Free? And they get people work-ready, PAY them a bit, to make it even more attractive, certify them, and add more FREE courses? And degree paths? That's SERIOUSLY Good! Great stuff! This has a LOT of value!

They also have a couple interview days where local business come speak to the class and hire participants from the program!

Update:

Because I previously got checks from the other certs I didn't qualify for a payment from the ready-to-work certificate (that wasn't in the fine print). on the plus side, ACE awards 2 credit hours in quantitative analysis or intro to organizational communication for the cert.
