Santa Monica College has some free, non-credit certificates available. Most of it is basic stuff, although some of the sustainability certificates caught my eye. Link:

This makes the whole non credit certificate very interesting.

Nice pickup on that. I just looked up the Santa Monica College Alumni Association and it clearly states that certificate graduates are automatic alums of Santa Monica College and eligible for membership in the SMC Alumni Association. This might actually have some value, given that SMC is a major feeder to USC, UCLA, etc. and has a current student population of 30,000. They seem to have an online alumni network system as well.

Thanks for sharing! I just sent an email about registering for the Introduction to Working with Older Adults Certificate. I have been looking at the Online Graduate Cert in Healthy Aging through Fort Hayes State University, so this is a great way to explore my interest.

I just wanted to let you know that I emailed about this and was told that it is only for residents of California. Since I don't live in California, I don't qualify!
Nice find for California residents, though!
