I beg to differ.  GOOD grade RA credits are better than P/F.  A D or an F is definitely NOT better.

The good thing about P/F credits is that they don't affect your GPA. The bad thing about P/F credits is that they don't affect your GPA.  It depends on what grade you would have gotten on that P/F course as to which one it ends up being.

Got a hair?  Let's split it.

I just submitted my application. I had to pay $15 to send over my TESU transcript - so not free, but still a really great deal. I now have to wait for them to accept me into the course.

I’m excited to see what this course is like - I could use some help in stress management!

I am definitely curious what they will cover in the class.  I tried to get some clarification on the “3 credit”, but also “pass/no credit” thing and this is the answer I received:

Pass/no credit means that it is a course that is not assigned a letter grade, therefore it doesn’t affect your GPA. Anyone can take this course as long as they have a high school diploma! The records will always be at JSU, and students can request their transcript if they decide to take that course somewhere else in the future.

So, I guess the portability will depend on whether your school decides to accept it.  If you just want to take it to learn more about the subject matter for personal knowledge, then I guess it doesn’t matter.  They only ask for your most recent transcript which for me is one course I took at a community college.

I also noticed that they plan to continue to offer different courses every Spring and Fall.  It will be interesting to see what other classes they offer in the future.

Tuition is free is what they mean by a free course. Yes often times you have to send a transcript which isn't free, but you're still not paying tuition.

This almost makes it worth it to keep coming back if they're new classes each semester.

Haha, I wonder if they would allow people to rack up credits... 3 credits at a time each semester "trying" their courses. These would be great RA credits for transfer into the Big 3, especially if each and every one of them are upper level credits! It'll work wonders for the BALS, just need 4 semesters and 4 "free trials" and you're good for TESU.

Will TESU transfer in pass/fail courses?  from what I understand, not all schools will do it.
