My son needs Foundations of Speech for his BA in Communications. He took Public Speaking at our CC, but TESC didn't count it as Foundations of Speech. I double checked, and they said it was a different class. I thought that instead of finding another class around here that MIGHT count, I would have him take Foundations through TESC, but it seems that it is only offered as a PLA. I'm wondering if anyone has taken this particular class. Or maybe just some PLA feedback.
He was in a class last semester that produced TV shows locally. He was talent in a couple of them. He wrote scripts for some as well. I have him trying to track down copies of the videos that he spoke in. He only has a copy of the one he produced. Will this likely be the type of thing he will need for a PLA?
I'm thinking that I will sign him up for this PLA in a couple of weeks. I'm sure he'll get his questions answered then. However, he is taking other courses. I don't want to overwhelm him. Will the PLA take a lot of time? Any feedback is appreciated.
