Fort Hayes and SL? Newbie here
#1
Does Fort Hayes still transcript SL courses as letter grades? The last posts I could find were from mid 2010. Just wondering if its still an option. Also, has any of the fees changed? I just want to make sure I can knock out English Comp 1 and Algebra with SL and have it "look like" I completed them at Fort Hayes. Its much easier to transfer to my local college from a regionally accredited college than thru ACE transcripts.

Yes. My SL advisor, Andrew emailed me the instructions yesterday. I know that they're posted somewhere here, but I cut and paste his email just in case:

To be awarded credit for StraighterLine courses at Fort Hays State University, you will need to apply and pay the $30 application fee. Below are detailed instructions for the online application process.

1. Click on the following link, to begin your application to FHSU.

Admissions

2. Choose whether you are a US citizen or international student.

3. Unless you are planning to continue your coursework at FHSU, you will be considered a non-degree seeking student. Click “Continue the Application Process”

4. Under “I wish to complete…” click the link for the Undergraduate Admission. Note: there is a $30 application fee that you will be required to submit to FHSU during your application process.

5. Fill out the application, and pay the fee by credit card. (Note: If you pay by Electronic Check, it can take up to two weeks to process your payment. Please pay by credit card to ensure the quickest process possible)

6. Email Andrew when you have submitted your application and paid the $30 application fee. List the full name and mailing address used to apply to FHSU. If you applied to FHSU with a different name or address than the one on file with StraighterLine, please indicate that in your message. Any discrepancy will result in a significant delay of your credits.

Andrew told me that they don't accept all, but I didn't ask details. I would assume that all of SL's ACE approved, but I'm not sure... You might want to check with SL.

Thank you so much! When I went to that page I was just looking at the first part and missed the tabs at the top showing which classes they accept. I just enrolled for College Algebra.
