For the certified Florida LEOs which one of the big three gave you the most credit for your certification? I have several other credits but just would like personal experiences from others.

Come on. Any help would be great. Was just hoping someone could help before I start dropping application money and transcript fees.

I have several other credits but just would like personal experiences from others. I choose TESC because a friend of mine that is in the military told me about the college. I am not in the military but have a 2 year AAS degree from a Tech College and a few other classes I took at community colleges. The max credits they take is 80 being transferred in. They took 80 of my credits from my tech school classes so instead of another 4 years for my BA degree, I only have 10 classes left to take which will take a year since I cannot take a full load. Just took the CLEP test on Social Science yesterday and passed and now I am hoping to CLEP out of Humanaties. I do not know anything about the other 2 schools. Hope this helps.
They are all solid choices.
TESC and COSC take FEMA credits for free. this can add up to a year of college depending on your degree....so the cost savings can be significant. EC has a partnership with POAG (Peace Officers Association of Georgia, which you can join for $25). The partnership can reduce your fees and tuition costs if your planning to take any classes. The real question you need to ask are: Does the school have a degree I'm interested in that meats my needs? Can I afford it? What is my plan to accomplish the goal and which school will help me meet that goal? There is no "best" for a Florida LEO...it's a more personal question than that. I completed my degree at COSC and I've helped several others including at least one LEO complete degree's there as well...doesn't make it the best college, but it was right for them (me). How many credits do you currently have? Give us a specific list. The school that will accept the bulk of your credits, and how they place those credits sometimes makes a big difference. What degree are you looking at? Do you plan to use credit by exam or wish to take classes? Are you willing to take some classes? Have you figured out how to pay for this? I don't think anyone here can answer your question. TESC lists on its website how many credits it gives for New Jersey licenses. There is a chance you'll get a similar number of credits, but there is no telling if COSC or EC will give more.
