Firemen?
#11
Hey Jennifer I spoke with my cousins and they had a great suggestion which is not one you may have considered. If your son enjoys Fire Science and that appears to be his degree path he might want to consider a position as a fire marshal. According to my cousins it may very well be a great fit for him. It would allow him to work with fire related incidents and it also has a law enforcement component to it as well. They work closely with sheriffs offices, police departments, state police, etc. in all kinds of fire investigations. Looks great so far! Big Grin

**EDIT** Jennifer I forgot I wanted to add that any EMT courses he can take are very helpful. Being able to respond to emergency health issues is vital when being a fireman. At least in my section of the country many fireman serve dual roles and respond to wrecks as well as fires. As far as the military question my answer is that if the military is something he is interested in they will pay to train him in just about every aspect of the job and for obvious reasons it's free. While he's in the military he could also attend school for fire science and be done during or shortly after serving.

I think it means DegreeInfo Distance Learning Discussion Forums - Powered by vBulletin. I rarely visit that site though.
