You were in Pendragon? That's awsome!! That's one of my favorite films. It has it's problems, as all films do, but it's pretty amazing what the Burns family pulled off! You should check out Christianfilmmakers.org, it is a great forum for filmmakers. Guys who worked on Pendragon such as the Leddens, John-Clay Burnett, Harrison Beckman, David Thompson and Kyle Drew are all members there.

I've been involved in filmmaking for about the past ten years.
I've specifically focussed on cinematography and worked for 2 years as a camera operator for Portugal National Television covering 'Red carpet premiere's' and other bits and pieces.
I was camera operator/DOP on a tv show for the food network and was filmed at the President of Panavision's home.
I produced and was DOP on a documentary about Route 66 and travelled from Chicago to Santa Monica staying on the old route for as much as possible.
Back in Australia at the moment as a camera operator for a local channel.

bpclep Wrote:Ok folks, I thought I'd ask: Who around here is interested/involved in filmmaking? I know alot of homeschoolers do CLEP tests, and also a lot of homeschoolers are involved in filmmaking, so I thought I'd see if any happen to be interested in both! (besides myself) It's certainly not limited to those people though I know; so speak up!

Hey! I just joined this forum yesterday. I found InstantCert a little late, as I am graduating with my BA next week. (I was homeschooled K-12)
Filmmaking: it's one of my absolute passions. I have worked in film/video production for over five years, and have run my own production company for three. I would love to network with others, especially homeschoolers.
Although I am living with my parents in NY now, I am moving to VA in August to begin Law School. Let's keep the filmmaking thread going; it's a great topic!

Whereabouts in Virginia (Purcellvile maybe)? I'm in Abingdon, right next to Tennessee. You should definately check out Christianfilmmakers.org, lots of homeschoolers (current and graduated) on that site.
EDIT: I just read that you're going to Liberty Law school, so Lynchburg, is that right?

Yes, Lynchburg. Abingdon is about three hours from Lynchburg.
Feel free to drop by my website and send me an e-mail. I love hearing what equipment other people are using, as well as sharing techniques, etc.

sdgstudio - I asked what the movie will be about in a different thread but it should probably be in this one. BTW I have a great respect for all the scriptwriters out there. I tried writing one based on a book called A Journey of Souls (Its about the crusades) Great book ends like a happy tragedy. (Not an oxymoron, it ends as happy as a tragedy could be.) I got halfway through it and stopped. :o I guess I'm not cut out for script writing!

It's a short drama about abortion - from the perspective of a girl who was aborted. She gets to come to earth for a few hours, an consequently experiences "what could have been."
