Feedback on Paris Business School
#1
Hello all, I am considering the DBA program of Paris Business School here:

https://www.psbedu.paris/en/programs/executive-dba

- It is online
- Costs around 32K Euro
- Triple accredited
- 3 years in duration

My questions:

1- How good is Paris Business School in general? Are they one of the top schools in France or Europe?

2- Would it allow me to get a teaching position in the future in the US (just in case I wanted to)? or they don't recognize or give much attention for none-US doctorate there?

3- What other business schools offer same online, accreditation and price are there to compare with?

Thanks!

Basically, if it was me, I would go for something different. It all depends, it seems you are looking at a name & price combo...

1 - Yes, Yes, but does it matter? You're not in France, I would shoot for a US/UK option for the same price range instead.
2 - Yes, Yes, but you will require an academic evaluation of your foreign credentials (all of them), I don't see an issue here...
3 - Yes, yes, but did you review your two previous threads created on the same day, 6 months ago?

Thanks for the response!

So you believe that a US or UK based DBA would be much better- I see your point.

I'm looking for an online, 3 years max, with a good price and very good accreditation DBA program. I feel 4 or 5 years are too much, otherwise, maybe Aston Univ DBA is a good option (it is 4 years). What are your thoughts?

Yes I reviewed my previous posts but thought of dedicating this one for PBS to get a feedback. I saw also Rennes School of businbess (Triple crown, 3 years and good price) but it is based in France and It is unclear if the program is online or on-campus.

and feel free to merge this thread with this one if you like Smile

Yes, I would favor price point doctorate, something like getting UK level 8 diploma on route to the DBA... Here's an example, OTHM Level 8 Diploma then ladder up to a DBA or build up/transfer to Walden PhD in Management (Completion). Something along those lines, here's a link for you to review: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Questions

Hmm, I was actually exploring Walden University's DBA program yesterday. It seems you're doing your Masters there too. My research showed that it is a good university in general, accredited, and the price point is fair. Plus, the duration can be 3 years or less.

> Do you agree with this evaluation for Walden University's DBA? I just don't want to find out that I wasted years in a university that won't add value to my knowledge or discover that their certificate is not respected in the tech industry.

> I also tried to find a similar DBA program and saw that Golden Gate University offers an interesting DBA in Emerging Technologies, but the website says that it costs $65K! Any idea about this university and whether it is better than Walden, for example?

Walden is acceptable, as they are for-profit, private institution, I took their program when they offered half off tuition for the life of the program, but after it was purchased, that was in limbo... I haven't decided to continue or not, anyways. They're not great, there are delays, it's acceptable for those who are on the Tempo learning system as that's competency based, I wouldn't really recommend them if you're doing the regular classes or butt-in-seat programs.

Golden Gate University is much better than Walden, I would usually recommend public/state institutions over private, non-profit... Walden is Private and for-profit... I suggest looking at other options that are DBA friendly which I pointed out before in other threads.
