Fastest way to earn a degree by earning/transfer credit

Hey thanks for the input levelUP. My only reason to go towards TESU was that its ACBSP accredited even if it makes a difference for masters, im now looking into bsba cis cause i want to get into the IT industry and potentially go for an MBA or master in fintech or blockchain in the future. I dont want to go for a full computer science degree cause im not that technically well versed. I see you did your BSBA CIS why are you more inclined towards UMPI, I really dont like exams but some one said you have to do so much writing in the UMPI but are there no exams? and is it even possible to finish 10 course in 1-2 terms at UMPI realistically. Honestly im so confused at this time. Please elaborate. Could you also mind sharing you BSBA CIS degree plan

The majority of UMPI courses are writing papers as it's a CBE program. You may be better off going to UMPI for your undergrad so you can work on your writing skills as you will need to understand APA and academic writing for grad school. Usually you won't get APA lessons in grad school. You're expected to already know it and understand it. Grad school is a lot of writing. Most grad programs have few exams as you need to be able to apply theories. As an undergrad you learn about the concepts behind the theories and as a grad student you're typically applying those theories and sometimes conducting research.

Thanks you BJcheung77. Im from Pakistan just moved to the US couple of years ago so everything is still new to me .So the question remains. Sophia equivalency list is it up to date? cause i coudnt find ART-166 or ART-167 History of Western Art I and II listed on the course catalog on TESU and few other course. So if you please so be kind just tell/give me list of Sophia GENed, electives any maybe business core courses I should start with I would really appreciate. Anyways im starting with three math courses right now and will probably need your guidance from time to time. Thank you for understanding and guidance. I hope im not being annoying with these questions

TESU does not offer a lot of classes. They will often bring things in as classes they do not offer.

@Saulbaba, You really need to slow down and take it easy. You're in a rush, take your time and create that spreadsheet I mentioned or document with your plan in place. I really suggest getting the BSBA general management option for now and add in the CIS, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or anything you wanted later. You need the general education, professional business requirements completed then select the AOS. One more thing, the CIS plan you asked is already in the post #20, before you asked the question, again, don't rush, the answers you seek are already provided to you.

Ding Ding... this is it, again, Saulbaba, you just need to follow the plans we have created, they are the cheap, easy, fast option to get everything done. The path is already made for you, just go through those courses slowly and at your pace. The classes that TESU have numbered are not always offered by the school, most of their programs and others such as their BA Biology require everything transferred into the degree.

I also suggest doing the AS Computer Science since it's free and requires no extra courses if you do them as part of the free electives in the BSBA CIS.

Yes, the degree plans for TESU are updated on a regular basis. Whenever we get new information, someone will update the wiki to reflect any changes. This is why we request that students report any issues they might encounter. If nobody does this, we won't know to correct the wiki. 

If budget were not an issue, the fastest degrees are currently from TESU, UMPI, or WGU. WGU isn't available to international students, and has a lot of proctored exams. Excelsior would be fast, but they've decided not to accept certain courses for their business degrees. It makes them both slower and more expensive.

The only thing EU is giving trouble on is that they now require Business Writing instead of English Comp II (even though on their website and in the catalog it specifically says "English Comp II OR Business Writing).  Other than that, you can do the entire degree alternatively; and even if you took Business Writing at EU, it would still be cheaper than TESU's per credit plan.

@Saulbaba, since you mentioned "if" budget isn't a problem, and you'd like to get them done the fastest, you can do the TESU BSBA degree, ladder that up to an MBA at Walden or PUG, then finish with a PUG MSIT. You hit all you wanted, a bachelor's to check the box, an MBA and since you're going the IT route, the MSIT with a "better" Purdue name. Depending how fast you can go, you can get this finished within a couple of years if you don't have many commitments...
