I have already had my evaluation at Excelsior, however, the person that did it made some errors and confused the terms "credits" and "courses". She also did not look at my military credits and I did not submit my DANTES transcript because I thought I had enough credits with what I had submitted. This is what her last email says "You have 6 credits in Written English, so you do not need to take another Written English course (this was correct on page one, but incorrect on page two). Also, the total number of credits that you need is 6, not 13. Again, I listed the credits needed correctly in the chart on page one, but added the total number incorrectly. This is going to work out to be about 6 total courses." The form she sent me makes absolutely no sense in the way she filled it out and I wish she had just told me what I needed. Unfortunately, she is not available again until Wednesday and I'm sweating bullets here.

Snocera,
Welcome to the Forum, Sounds like you are in email mode with a preliminary evaluation at Excelsior. Did you ask for an official evaluation? Enroll take a look at your MAP under the my details tab and it will show you exactly were your official stuff is going. It costs $80 give or take it takes a month so get cracking. You can transfer in anything at any time and if it meets a gap the registrar will assign it. In your "My Details" page on the top right hand side it will give you a link for your official evaluation this will show you exactly were the credits are being assigned. You will need to enroll as soon as possible and get those transcripts sent it. It usually takes two weeks or more for them to be evaluated once they post that they received them. If you don't see anything after two weeks call them and find out the reason they are not posted yet.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum : InstantCert Plus of course your hard work in learning and reviewing

Also, I think that you can enroll with the POAG membership and save a lot, so sign up with POAG first (Peace Officer's Association of GA, $25). You can do that online now, and then call EC to enroll tomorrow. Then sign up for the capstone.

You're not considered "degree'd" by EC, but you might be by your company. I would check on that.

Red flag!!!! Make sure of the rules at your current school concerning concurrent enrollment and/or second bachelor's degrees. Some schools won't allow concurrent enrollment or award you a degree if you already have one, others require a certain number of credits to be earned after the first degree is awarded. I'd hate to see you mess up your current efforts over this.

Another thing to consider is financial aid if you are receiving any from your current school. You may not be eligible for financial aid at your current school if you get a degree from one of the big 3 before the other confers. So if you need something other than a liberal arts degree you might be shooting yourself in the foot.
