My advisor is not from excelsior. I’m mostly doing coopersmith. The point is that I need 6 credits from courses in excelsior to get my student loans so I’m doing the cornerstone and the other course. I’m getting a Ba i psychology so I need social psychology. I would have just taken the exam but then I would need a different course.

For a bachelor's degree you are required to take 7 credits - 3 specific courses from EC. Typically you would take Info Lit, Cornerstone, and Capstone at EC and that's it. What courses do you need? Degree audit?

Right i already took literacy from excelsior. My 6 credits have to be in one semester. I’m taking the cornerstone but I’m not sure when I’ll be ready for my capstone and I want to get the loans.

Already asked this. What courses do you need? Degree audit? No one can help you without this info.

I just realized that the money is divided over fall, spring and summer. I’ll probably be finished in the spring semester so I won’t get all the money either way. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the full amount?

The only way to get the full amount is to attend every semester. Financial Aid is awarded for the academic year. That's why it's broken down into semesters. There's no way to change that.

Right I was just trying to figure it out if there was a way for me to get my loan (not the grant). My expenses for the semesters that I’m in are a lot higher. I’ll speak to the school and see what they say.

Loans are also for the academic year. You may be able to increase your loan so you get more now, but you would need to talk to Financial Aid about it.
