FallingWaters Wrote:That's good to know about the English Comp. My daughter is nearing the end (working on her final paper) but they're taking a LONG time to get back with the grade/review. Since the second part (the actual paper) depends on the grade/information received regarding the first part (the outline), she can't really do anything until she hears back. So an extension will be needed.
That would be my biggest complaint about the course. It took 10 days to get back the papers he has completed. In a 60 day course with 5 writing assignments, that is too long!

If you want it for free, you have to schedule it three days out. If you want it in the next three hours, you have to pay $5. If you want it immediately, you have to pay $8.75.
To schedule it for three days from now, you just click on the blue "Schedule your ID Verification" button and follow the prompts. If you'd like to take it in three hours or immediately, click the same button, but scroll to the bottom and click on "Can I take it sooner?"
HTH!

Guess I'm too late to the party. Tried the code and it didn't work.
For the people that are taking the class or have already taken the classes, are they easier/faster than Straightliner?

For those who have done both SL and Sophia, how do the 2 compare? Are they around the same difficulty level? I took the PM Sophia course and liked the layout, and now I'm thinking about taking Accounting II, Business Communications, and Financial Accounting through SL.

I have taken courses from both and greatly prefer Sophia over Straighterline. I find Sophia to be much easier and straight forward. In addition, there are no books to buy with Sophia. When you are tested with Straighterline, sometimes it is like looking for a needle in a haystack and the only way to find it is with the search function on an ebook.
