#1
Which would count towards gen-ed electives, not just free electives? I'm hopin' to get at least 6 gen-ed FEMA credits.

Thanks.

What school and what degree? Not very likely unless you are doing a related degree.

None ever. Even in one of the emergency degrees these wouldn't be GEN EDs (they could be in-major, but that's a different situation).

Gen eds are taught from Arts and Sciences departments only, and transfer from school to school. The gen ed departments include humanities, social science, natural science, and mathematics.

There are a few 6 credit CLEP exams, and they are all gen eds.
College Math, Natural Science, Foreign Languages, Humanities, etc. So, it would be the next cheapest solution.

If you are going to TESC you may be able to use ALEKS to get the six credits.

So the ALEKS Trig/Stats/Precal will only transfer to TESC as FREE electives? I read they actually complete math credits towards a degree. Any help on this matter would be great

If your mat/nat sci section is full they roll down to gen ed. This is from my social science academic evaluation. Sorry I can't get the type clear...I cut and pasted from a pdf.

No, ALEKS is math, and math is a general education category (see previous post). FEMA is not a general education category. If you don't mind a shameless plug, I started a thread about this a while back that you might really enjoy: http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...ht=dummies

Thanks for the info.

What about the NFA courses, can they ever be accepted as anything other than "free electives" ?

The NFA courses are accepted at TESC as Fire Science. So unless you are taking a fire science degree, they will be free electives.

Best of luck!
