FEMA credits
#1
What is the process for getting FEMA credits accepted by TESC?
#2
What I did is printed out a transcript request form from the FEMA site, filled it out and faxed it in to TESC immediately. Paid nothing and did 24 credits this way. Be sure that you speak to an advisor at TESC first to confirm acceptable courses (they emailed me a list), and be sure where they fit into your degree requirements!!!Good Luck & hope this helps.

Here's the long thread on this forum that should answer a lot of these questions.

They are generally accepted as free electives. Excelsior only accepts 15 of them and they have to be transcribed through FCC or Clackamus.

Thank you. What about TESC? DO they accept them? For a BS degree?

Mamasaphire,

I am not sure, I do not attend TESC. But I do think they accept them directly from fema, so you don't have to go through FCC or Clackamus, and they may accept up to 30 of the credits this way. I am not completely sure though, so follow up on this. Sorry I can't be more specific!

Yes, TESC will take the FEMA transcript directly from FEMA. No cost to you at all.
To figure out how many FEMA credits you can use, go into your unofficial evaluation and see how many free electives you have left to fill. FEMA will only fill free elective slots (BA or BS) but it depends on your own situation- some people come in with several courses already in free electives and need fewer than other people.
