FEMA Humanities credit at TESC?

So for the last 9 credits I need at TESC, I've decided I'm going to do World Religions, an easy gen ed dsst (anthropology), and then take SOS 110 (living in Information Age) at TESC to get a good GPA since I heard that class was easy.


But then I thought about about it - because TESC accepts FEMAs raw - is there any possible FEMAs that can be counted as HUMANITIES or SOCIAL SCIENCE credits so I wont even have to take that easy clep cuz that would save hella time and gas.

Also - Femas are free right?

Whats the basic process for forwarding fema credits to TESC?


And if you know 3 credits worth of femas that can be transcribed as Humanities credits - please name them and what exact # TESC assigns them if you know (e.g. HUM-211 or whatever)

I have heard that 1 or 2 FEMA credits will, in fact, be accepted as Humanities credit. I am not certain which specific IS courses were mentioned, but I have heard that it is true on a number of occasions back when I was researching FEMA courses. I think it was member rickyjo that metioned this on the forum, but I am uncertain whether or not this has been confirmed entirely. You might want to poke around the archives a bit.

EDIT: I found a post where somebody actually received Humanities credit for 1 course: IS-242. Another individual was given credit for this course as a free elective, so my guess would be that an error in policy was made somewhere, or that one would have to make it clear to TESC that IS-242 is to be designated in Humanities.

I don't know which 2 FEMAs will count as Humanities but that will still leave you needing 1 additional credit...the TESC list that I've seen posted on here only includes the 1 credit FEMA courses.

Yes, the FEMA courses are free.
