My local testing center 15 miles and 20 min. away charges $40 or they did last time I used them. They have really old computers and they only do DSST paper & Pencil. I started looking around and I have found a better center just 45 min away that has new computers is quiet and comfortable and only charges $15. They don't do DSST at all so I go to a different one for that it is $25 and 55 min, but they do computerized DSST. It is always best to shop around and find one that meets your needs.

The Art of the Western World exam has a major curve. Check out my post here
http://www.degreeforum.net/82576-post5.html . The video's and other resources posted there, if used are enough to pass. I was discouraged when I wrote that post, but in hindsight, I realize now that the exam was not as hard as I originally thought. Also remember you just need to get a little more then half of the questions correct to pass.
Also, it is not uncommon for people who are close to finishing to put off starting there last few classes, or studying for the last few exams, etc.
I think it is partly due to burn out and partly to completion anxiety/ fear of what will happen after they graduate, etc.
Just take a deep cleansing breathe and take a step forward, the hardest part is the first step.

One thing to add. Schedule your test NOW. The day that I come home from my CLEP/DSST test, I hop online to schedule the next one. At my testing center, I have to pay a non-refundable 35 bucks to schedule. This will force you to study.
Get online and schedule your tests NOW!!!!! How long do you need to study, a week? Two weeks? Schedule one for 10/9 and one for 10/23. Then you're done before Halloween.
That's how I got started. I finally scheduled them and then started studying... only have two down, but I'm much more focused now.

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun. Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior. And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.

IMHO, just take practice exams until you get out of your rut. That way, you'll be reviewing content without undue effort. Once you're motivated again, you can continue with your rigorous course of study.

Everyone is saying it best; register for those DSST's NOW. Push yourself into a (reasonable) corner so you can claw your way out and over those exams. Nothing really motivates like when there's money on the line.
I'm "feelin' the burn" myself...last month of the second to last semester at TESC....getting 120 in 2 years 5 months...and nothing interests me less than Organizational Theory right now:puke:
Ah, but the sweet smell of victory wafts in the air..
