Experiences with Regis University Online?

Regis University seems to have a great transfer and CLEP-friendly policies, but I'm seeing VERY mixed reviews for their online programs. Some of them are really concerning, to be honest, but they're kinda dated as well. 

Has anyone here had recent experience with them?

(I'm interested in their online BS-Communications program.  Cost is not a major concern, as my employer is graciously paying.)

While I do not have personal experience with Regis University online one of my friends is getting his Masters in Data Science from them and overall he has said good things about their online programs. As for SNHU it was a well known and respected name in the area of southern New Hampshire where I lived for seven years. In my opinion it would be just fine to graduate from there!

Outside of Colorado, Regis does not have a strong name. Even within Colorado, it is rarely mentioned among top colleges within the state. You said price is not an issue so you have that going for you but I would in that case go to a better school IMO.

This is good to know, thank you.  Unfortunately, the list of schools with online, accelerated bachelor's programs in Communications, who also accept all my CLEPs as gen-ed equivalents--is a fairly small list. I think I've settled on sticking with SNHU, and then keeping my fingers crossed that my employer's tuition reimbursement program remains in-tact for the next 4 years so I can finish my Masters locally.

Sometimes these schools have competency exams of their own that might be worth researching.

Sort of off topic, but letters of recommendation are a waste of paper and postage or email space. Who ever gets bad letters of recommendation? It's such a pointless requirement.

For over 30 years, I have been saying the same exact thing about work references.  What is the point? 
Who in their right mind is going to give a prospective employer a reference contact that is going to say something bad?

The only thing I can think of is maybe merely supplying references shows them you are able to make relations with people.  But no need to contact them.  Other than that, seems like a total waste to me.

Anyhow, about SNHU have a bad reputation due to it's being perceived as an online U, I wholeheartedly believe these reputations of online schools is shaped by other strictly B&M schools that are looking to perpetuate the old and try to hamper the new. Little by little, however, the stigma is going away. But it's taking too long, IMHO. Many people on this and other forums claim online degrees are actually harder and/or more work than B&M degrees.

I am in the middle of my capstone at TESU right now, and it is the hardest course I've ever taken.  Not just because it's the capstone either - it's because you're not sitting there, listening to the instructor.  Who, by virtue of what they choose to discuss, guides you to the material they will be covering in exams.  And there is just a lot more feedback in a classroom setting, in my experience.  I feel like here, even though I do have access to the mentor via email (and probably phone if I wanted), it's just a completely different experience - and much harder!
