I think one of the most important things to note is that none of these schools are really better than the other, they all have their problems. When my degree was conferred some of my courses/exams that my advisor approved, and transcribed to my status report and transcript many months earlier, she decided to unapprove in my conferral based on her not reading, and being informed (thank God I have screen caps, and emails), which decreased my GPA. Even small things such as the name of my former school she screwed up on my transcript, which was a problem I addressed with her earlier in the year, in which she corrected, yet error again during my conferral, which she fails to correct. Advisors aren't perfect, and most of the time they have no ideal what they are doing. I noticed at Excelsior what one advisor may approve or say is ok, another will say it's not ok. It sucks, but its just the way it is. I really believe Excelsior needs to update their system, and stop doing everything by hand.
