Hi. I just got my unofficial eval from Excelsior. They say I only need 13 credits. Can you see anything on this list that can be tested out of (CLEP, DSST, TCEP, Uexcel) or cheaper online class? I believe I'm forced to take Information Literacy and the Capstone. Veteran status gives great savings on graduation and fees. Thanks.

If attachment unreadable, it's: English Comp (102 or 202), Ethics and Upper level arts and science elective

For Composition II: Straighterline $99/ month plus $79 for the course (but there are always coupons), UExcel English Composition $470 for Comp I and II Edit: DO NOT TAKE DSST Principles of Advanced English Composition or CLEP College Composition and frankly I'm not sure about the TECEP either.
For Ethics: DSST Business Ethics and Society (3UL)
UL Arts and Sciences: It depends, since you still need a depth in an arts and sciences subject. Do you have 9 lower level hours in a subject already? History and Psychology are the easiest A&S fields to make a depth in, but any 9 hours would do.
Edit to add: Excelsior must have changed some things around recently. Now you need 15 credits with 6 upper level to make a depth. So what do you have already? You could post the credits they gave you if that makes it easier.

For Sociology:
SOC 101 Intro to Sociology 3
SOC 105 Marriage/ Family 3
SOC 300 Soc of Dev Countries 3UL
UExcel SOCx320 Juvenile Delinquency 3UL
UExcel SOCx330 World Population 3UL
I realize this requires one more exam than you originally thought, but just one more.

No, I took the AP test when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Excelsior is very specific about what they will take. As a matter of fact, that DSST is new and I have not seen specific approval for it from Excelsior. Your safest choice would be the Straighterline Comp II, since that is the one used by most of the Excelsior students here.

I would try using previous editions of the textbook, check quizlet.com for UExcel Juvenile Delinquency and World Population flashcard sets, look for tips here on DF....
And when you think you're ready, try the practice exam.
