Hi Folks:
ECE has sent my evaluation to Excelsior and TESC.
I logged in to Excelsior's myEC, and I see that they have received the evaluation, but I don't know how to tell if they have evaluated the credits and given me any or not. Can someone please help me how I can find this out?
Thank you!

So, you saw on the "Incoming Transcripts" page that they received your transcript, right? On your MyEC page further down the column, there is a link to your Unofficial Evaluation, which will be complete 6-8 weeks after they receive all your expected transcripts. This unofficial evaluation is not as detailed as the Status Report and Evaluation Summary that they do when you officially enroll. It just lists what credits they will not accept, and why they won't take them, and tells you in which areas you still need credit. I don't know if they will continue to add credits to your unofficial evaluation if you are not enrolled, but they will keep your transcripts to use for your official evaluation at your enrollment.
Once you are enrolled, your new credits will be added to your Status Report and Evaluation Summary, usually within two weeks at the most after they receive additional credits. The Status Report is more detailed and tells you exactly where your credits apply. The only time it took longer than this, for me, was over the Christmas/New Year's holiday time period, so it was understandable.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Alissa. So if I were to write clept and dsst tests, I am assuming that will be after the official enrollment?
Btw, I did pay an application/enrollment fee, so aren't I officially enrolled now anyway?

Your application fee is not the same thing as your enrollment fee. You are not officially enrolled yet. They are probably either still working on your unofficial evaluation or waiting for you to enroll. You have a separate fee and a new evaluation when you enroll.

Ahh.. gotcha.
So should I write any CLEPs that I have to before or after enrollment?
Thanks!

Okay, I will summarize the process step-by-step. It is similar for all three schools:
Step 1-Submit your application--$75
Step 2-Send your transcripts
Step 3-Receive your first evaluation (6-8 weeks after applying)
Step 4-Officially Enroll--$895--$2445, cost depends on which school you choose. You will need to enroll within six months of submitting your application, or you could have to have new transcripts sent. All three schools also charge a yearly re-enrollment fee, so wait to enroll until you are sure you can finish within one year's time.
Step 5 Take all your CLEPs & DSSTs, and yes you can keep on doing this and continue to have scores sent to your chosen school while waiting for your first evaluation, keeping in mind that some of your scores won't make it in time for the first eval, but that they will be added later when you officially enroll.
Step 6-Your Status report will continue to be updated as you test. Make sure you are taking exams that fulfill your requirements. Consult with your adviser as to which exams you still need, then study and test. Repeat until requirements are met.
Step 7-Pay Graduation fee-$205-$495, depending on which school you choose
All Done.
Good luck!
