Excelsior - NYU Foreign Language Exam?

Here's an update on the NYU exam vs the ACTFL OPI exam. Be aware that the 16 NYU credits (assuming that you score the maximum) would be OK as long as you don't have other language credits already. Otherwise you should check first for potential lower level credits duplication with your EC advisor because NYU credits can duplicate others, specifically CLEP language credits. But there may be other cases...

The ACTFL OPI exam does not duplicate CLEP language credits, so for that combination the OPI & CLEP exams are the optimal option (potentially 22 LL + 2UL credits).

Hi I passed the CLEP Spanish with flying colors and was looking into taking The OPI which I read were 10LL and 2 UL and was wondering if they duplicated. It would be awsome if they did not!!! I'll check with Excelsior just to make sure.
