I was wondering if the transcripts from Excelsior exams say that they are exams or are they transcribed into course titles with grades? I am possibly using these exams to fulfill pre-reqs to apply to an accelerated nursing program. I am asking the admissions adviser if they would consider them, but I was wondering if them looked like "normal courses" on a transcript. Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to this. Thank you!

The course code has an "X" next to it. I was told by another member that the transcript key gives an explanation for what the X means.

That makes sense; does TESC show a grade for them when you transfer them in or does say it pass/fail or just credit? I know it won't be in the TESC GPA, but an exam with a grade would give me a better chance at be able to use it as a pre-req. Thanks again!

It will just say "CR" on the TESC transcript. You can send the Excelsior transcript to the school you're applying to.

Absolutely try to get credit for anything you have taken in the past. It will only help you regarding how much you will have to take. I had 18 credits transfer from 1990/91. that saves $$$$$$$. Even 2 pys-ed credits transferred!!!
