Hi Guys got a D on the excelsior ethics, 3 hour lengthy reading scenario test. It was aweful. I guess I have to wait 60 days to retake it. Any advice as in how to get through it again, I cried the first time and used every second they gave me. Thanks all. cindy

Ouch...I feel your pain. I found the ECE Ethics to be just as you described, and I barely passed with a C. In contrast I scored a 67 on the DANTES Ethics test. Can you take the DANTES exam instead?

Since I didn't need any more upper level courses I took the DSST ethics in america course instead of the EC Ethics course. I have read that other people took them both to get an upper and lower level credit. I used the extra sites listed in the specific exam feedback and wound up with an A on this one.

For the business degree, Excelsior accepts both. As jec929 pointed out, the DANTES Ethics counts as lower level and the ECE is considered Upper Level.
You'll have to check with an advisor or check the specific program requirments for your major, but I would bet that the DANTES would fulfill the Ethics requirement for most degrees.
I found the DANTES to be easier than the ECE.

Geezer,
The DANTES Ethics in America exam does indeed fulfill the ethics requirement at Excelsior. Also, it is the ONLY lower level exam that can be taken IN ADDITION to Excelsior's upper level version and still be counted.
For example, we are not permitted to apply lower level DANTES Human Resource Management credits AND upper level ECE Human Resource Management credits. The same is true of other upper and lower level pairings such as DANTES Organizational Behavior and ECE Organizational Behavior.
Excelsior DOES, however, allow us to apply both lower level DANTES Ethics in America AND upper level ECE Ethics: Theory & Practice credits.
Pretty cool, and good to know,
