I am taking my first online Excelsior course. I notice that almost all Excelsior courses require Discussion Board participation and according to the syllabi makeup about 20 percent of your grade in each class.
Can anyone tell me what these discussion board's require in terms of time online? Is it a once a week thing or logging in daily and chatting or what? I ask because I'm in Iraq right now and I'm worried that the DB may require too much online time -- which for me can be hard to come by. Also how difficult are the written projects that each class seems to require? Thanks.
