Well I have read some of the complaints about the diploma's and it seems they have made changes but haven't got it right 100%. The diploma only say's "Bachelor of Science" it does not list your major which I think is silly. It seems to me every other college list's the degree - such as "Liberal Studies" or "Business Administration" I emailed the alumni office and it seems this is the way it's done. So maybe since they received complaints and changed it once, they can do it again by listing the degree. I want to get it framed but will not if it doesn't list the degree. Oh well I am just happy that I have it but maybe it will change by the time everyone else graduates.
On google they show the old one which DOES list the major but the new one looks more official but doesn't list the major.

I think for Bachelors they don't list the major. I was looking at both my girlfriend's and my mother's diplomas, and neither has the major. They have different majors from different schools, so I think that's just the standard.
Anyone else want to chime in on this?

Barcotta posted a picture of his diploma
here which lists his major.
I'm not sure if Excelsior has changed their practice all-together, or if possibly they just don't list Liberal Arts for those that complete a Bachelors degree without a major.

I can honestly say that's the first diploma for a Bachelors degree I've seen with the major on it. I was looking online and different schools do different things I guess.

In my experience, both AS and BS degree diplomas DO list the major.

It all depends on the school. My daughter's BA diploma from Mary Washington University (VA B&M) lists 'Bachelor of Arts', not her major of English (her departmental honors certificate from the school lists 'English' though, so with both framed side by side it's obvious to observers her major was English.) Her MA diploma from University of Wisconsin (WI B&M) lists 'Master of Arts, English Literature'. Both are well-established, fully accredited state schools, so I'd guess that it's simply a matter of preference and/or tradition as to whether a school prints the major on the diploma or not.

I go to St. Edward's University. When I complete my degree it will state "Bachelor of Arts" and not my major. Your transcript that accompanies any resume/job application will do the talking of what you studied and how it is scored. The Diploma is merely a "feel good" piece of paper to decorate your wall with.
I know my exwife's and her brother went to Texas A&M (College Station) and it lists it in small font in the bottom corner.
