I advise you two to figure out if you want to do school counseling or school psychology because those are two different occupations with different tracks. Using Texas as an example, school counseling requires teaching experience, but becoming a school psychologist does not. School psychologists need to earn either an NASP-approved or APA-accredited degree or a graduate degree that has the required coursework. They also need to complete a 1200-hour internship with 600 of those hours in a public school.

On the other hand, becoming a school counselor requires a master's degree, the completion of an approved certification program, and two years of classroom teaching experience.

Does anyone know any cheaper Independent Study provide that University of Idaho, which has a 160$/credit fee + $30 administrative fee per course? Idaho has a bunch of UL psychology credits!
The LL credits will probably taken at a CC!
Thanks,
Linda

Not cheaper, but CSU Pueblo has a bunch in that same price range. $525 for 3cr courses. But they might have some hidden admin fees as well that would push it too far over Idaho.

UExcel, TECEP, study.com (if you're at TESU, they have some that come in as UL but are not ACE-approved as UL), TorCC, Ed4Credit, and then CSU-Pueblo IS is $495.

I think the OP is looking for graded courses.
