I have brought some of it on myself by changing programs. I tried to leave Excelsior for Charter Oak, but there were too many lost credits. I believe Excelsior has far too many students per advisor.
I am also a little difficult when I feel a policy doesn't make sense and is not supported with logic.

I'm not sure why, but you have had a lot of unexpected challenges with advisors.
I might just be the common denominator here.

My newest advisor has suggested reviewing the upper level English course with a director to try to get it approved.

Because of my awesome advisor, Excelsior has decided to accept ENG-312 Persuasive Writing from BYU to meet three credits of the Written English Requirement.

It seemed like you were having some trouble with your previous advisor. I'm glad you got a new one and have already made progress with this issue.

Just a FYI for Excelsior students...
Several times my MAP came back with surprising changes. Each time I contacted my fantastic adviser and asked about why the changes I was expected were not what I ended up with... and each time I got the MAP changed to what I needed. They didn't change the requirements or anything, just changed to how the credits were applied. This was especially important on my last one, as it had me needed more math and science, which I would have died from! LOL. It was changed to what I expected which was need more humanities and arts.
The moral of the story is to really build a good relationship and tell your adviser what you want to take - a couple of emails can really help.

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun. Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior. And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.
