To anyone that knows anything about the structure of academic institutions it is still an extension school which most will equate with the Con Ed side of a school. It isn't the same as attending Harvard by any means! I got some free CEU's through Texas A&M extension school, I don't consider that to mean I attended Texas A&M. I'm just saying, don't think you will be fooling anyone or impressing anyone, that you actually attended Harvard by attending HES.
Wow, I don't think I've ever disagreed with Marianne, but today is that day
The fact is, almost EVERY University of XYZ runs its online classes and or degrees through their community ed/professional studies/ extension divisions. Many people have no idea which college within a university their degree came from. In fact, many colleges offer the same degree title but from more than one college within the school.
Without looking, can you name 4 TESC colleges? Can you name your TESC college? Do TESC students distinguish that they are attending the Heavin School @ TESC (as opposed to the Edwards School @ TESC? Harvard University is Harvard University, there isn't any trickery. The degree is from Harvard University's Extension School. It's legit.
