She sounds more intelligent than many folks I see.  I think you are wrong in her case.  Watch the video.

I watched the video again. Maybe I'm changing my mind, she seems very self-confident and intelligent for her age.  But did you hear the interviewer at end?  She wants to do environmental engineering; her mother wants her to be in the the space force?

I am not sure what environmental engineering even is?  

Her mother is thinking maybe the "Space Force" that Trump was trying to get DOD to start?  USAF does not want the competition and all the services want a piece of the space action.  A 5th DOD service would take it all away from the other four?  The Army has Space Battions now.
