Excelsior BSB Gen admin. Deploying Sailor.

Friends,

The good: I have just graduated with an AAS in Technical studies form Excelsior.
The bad: I deploy in 3 weeks. Lol. Since my evaluation (attached bellow) I have passed DSST Ethics in America, CLEP Business law, DSST Business Ethics.

I have about 3 weeks to test out of as many of these as possible.. What do you guys recommend?

I am continuing to take classes online with Excelsior. Which ones should I take and in what order?

Are ALEKS classes proctored? (Deployed..)

You ended up posting the same thread twice, so I'll just respond to the first one. I just wanted to let you now that the ACE approval of ALEKS courses expired on 10/31/13. No one knows when they will be reapproved. This means that you cannot get college credit for ALEKS. Currently, ALEKS has no proctored exams.

I am not sure what you schedule is like when you are deployed, but if you have study time it might be worth bringing some textbooks with you to study for additional DSSTs, CLEPs, and ECE's. With DSST, there are recommended textbooks that can be picked up used for a few dollars. I use thriftbooks.com but there are several similar sites on the web. I believe Excelsior has recommended textbooks for their exams as well. The ECEs will cost you money but they may save you time.

Excelsior produced this document that shows how the requirements can be met with their exams, but you can get a good idea of equivalent DSST and CLEPs from the same document.
