Excelsior BS/MBA Dual Degree(MIS) plan help request
#1
Hi Everyone,

I have been a long time stalker of these forums and love them to death.

I got pretty motivated to start my journey a year ago and picket the Excelsior BS/MBA Dual Degree(MIS), took a small number of classes on straighterline and then life got busy. My wife got pregnant and got a new job with the DoD teaching in Bahrain (i had to look on a map to see where it is too Wink ). so long story short i quit work, hung up my letter jacket and got out the tool belt to sell the house and join my pregnant wife in the middle east (luckily it only took me three months to finish up everything in the states).

Fast forward to today and I have been here for about two months with the wife and being a stay at home spouse is sooooo boring! I'm hoping to get my degree finally and get a job on the local navy base. It has been about a year since I looked everything up and made a plan (though I'm very sure it wasn't efficient and was missing some higher level business and IT credits).

TLDR

I would love some help planning my degree path. I'm not super tied to this degree/school, but am looking for something very much like it. Thank you in advance!

Here are my completed classes so far:

I made a spreadsheet to go to TESU for the BSBA in General Management. It includes all of the places you can get credits - I would probably take CLEP and DSST off the list, and stick with Saylor, SL, Study.com, ALEKS, etc.

If you want to take College Algebra at ALEKS, I would sign up and do so immediately, as it's getting ready to expire on 1/31. While you're at it, take Intermediate Algebra as well, for a GE Elective.

For the MBA, I would go to WGU after you get your BSBA at TESU. Much cheaper than the EC MBA. And faster.
