tesc...AA to BA tuition
#1
Question for all you TESCers:

Of course I will confirm/verify before I pass this info along but thought I'd check here first.

Can a student enroll in the per-credit tuition plan and receive an Associate in Arts en-route, having fulfilled all the requirements for the Associate’s degree but then pay per-credit for the remaining coursework needed for the bachelor’s? In other words: Would you need to enroll in a different tuition plan to get the Associate’s degree since you’re not planning to take any credits for the Associate’s degree but will still use the per-credit option for the bachelor’s?

I hope this doesn’t sound too confusing.
Associate in Arts - Thomas Edison State University
Bachelor of Arts in Humanities - Thomas Edison State University
pursuing Master's degree, Applied Linguistics - Universidad Antonio de Nebrija

*credit sources: Patten University, Straighterline, Learning Counts, The Institutes, Torah College Credits, Kaplan Open College, UMUC, Thomas Edison State University (guided study liberal arts capstone)

you have to meet the residency requirement of the AA which is 12 credits.

You can achieve an AA in route. If you graduate twice, you will need to pay two separate graduation fees. Otherwise I believe the cost is the same to have it or skip it. The TECEPS used for residency purposes do not have to fit in your degree plan. The only requirement is that you meet residency and you fullfill the degree requirements.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

Done!

I am curious (new at this too)What's the deal with residency requirements? I thought with the big 3, that was basically a non-issue. Perhaps I am wrong, maybe it is with some degree plans. Sorry to steal the thread, but residency was mentioned.

The residency requirement only applies when selecting the per-credit tuition plan. If selecting a different tuition plan, students only need to take the capstone at TESC butnpay an enrollment fee.
