I came across an app yesterday for $2.99 called CLEP, it has practice tests for loads of CLEPs and the reviews were really good on it. I'm studying to take the Intro to sociology clep next Friday and I've been using IC, FreeClepPrep.com and I think I'll do some of the practice tests on this app too. A lot of the reviews said that the questions that are on the practice test people also saw on their exam. I was just wondering if anyone had ever used this app personally and what they thought of it.

I heard that this is basically all the questions from the Petersons PTs. If so, I would definitely say it's worth it. Petersons PTs, although harder than the real CLEP, are valuable study resources.
And if you can get those here for $3, as opposed to $20 online, that's even better!

If you are using InstantCert already I'd say it can't do any harm. Plus it's mobile so you can take it with you on the bus or wherever you are waiting in line. I've found petersons layout in their downloadable form to be hard to work through.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum :

I bought it because I figured for $3 what did I have to lose and I love it. The Intro to Soc. practice test has 300 questions and the app is set up great, very easy to use. I'm glad to hear that it's supposed to be all the Peterson's PT questions. I think with IC and this app I should be good to go. it's $3 for the whole app with all CLEP practice tests included so I can also use it to study for my humanities test that I have to take after this one.

Oh, 1 question I had about this app. For the $2.99 you pay, do you get access to EVERYTHING in their database? Or just to the practice questions for 1 test (i. e. Is every test $2.99)?

I guess they used to have the app available for free, then you paid $2.99 for each "quiz" but everyone requested they just make it a paid app with access to everything so it's just a flat fee of $2.99 now.

Great find. I love being able to study when I am waiting for appointment. Not to mention studying before bedtime is a great way to cure insomnia.
